When the stakes are high, leadership teams call us first.

The challenges our clients bring us are rarely simple. It might be a branch network that costs more than it earns, an acquisition that needs a confident valuation, or a programme whose funders want proof of what was delivered. We start by understanding the problem properly, and we make sure the operating model is right before anyone invests in new systems.

Our advisers are chartered accountants by training. Their recommendations are grounded in numbers that reconcile and financial models that can be tested line by line, so our advice stands firm when it meets a sceptical board, a regulator or the other side’s advisers.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

Is your advice independent of your technology practice?

Yes. A diagnostic will often show that the real issue lies in process, structure or incentives, and when it does we will tell you plainly. When technology is part of the answer, you have the advantage of a team that can also build it.

Can you name the transactions you have worked on?

Much of our work is covered by non-disclosure agreements. We are happy to name the organisations we and our leadership have worked with, and we keep the details of their engagements private. You can expect the same discretion.

Do you work on public-sector and donor-funded programmes?

Yes. Our leadership has worked with government departments and with multilateral and bilateral partners including the World Bank, IFC, ADB, USAID, JICA, DFID and the European Union, on strategy, PPP advisory, verification and evaluation.

How do engagements usually start?

Usually with a short, fixed-scope diagnostic. You come away with a clear view of the issue and a costed plan, and both sides have a sound basis for deciding on next steps.
