TDC was founded in Karachi in 2001 by chartered accountants who saw how often organisations struggled with the technology behind their numbers. Our belief then, as now, is that a system is only finished when it reconciles, and a strategy is only ready when it can be modelled and tested.
From those foundations we built our own ERP platform, now live at more than 150 organisations, alongside a consulting practice that advises some of the region's largest institutions on strategy, governance, restructuring and transactions.
Today TDC works across three disciplines: Tech & Software Solutions, Business Consulting and Business Process Outsourcing. Our clients benefit from one team that understands the challenge, builds the solution and runs it with them.

Tahir Ali founded The Data Corporation in 2001 and has led it since. He is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years of consulting experience across corporate finance, transaction advisory, strategy, business risk, governance, technology-enabled transformation and programme evaluation.
He trained in audit and business advisory at A. F. Ferguson & Co., a member firm of the PwC network, and later served as a Director of Grant Thornton Consulting in Pakistan. Alongside TDC, he is Finance Director of Ahmed Alaghbari Chartered Accountants in the United Arab Emirates.
His clients have included commercial banks, financial institutions, government bodies, private-sector groups and international development partners across Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
