01.3 · BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI)

Clear insight for every decision.

We design business intelligence around the decisions your leaders make, from liquidity for the treasurer to margin for the CFO and collections for each branch. Measures are defined once, reconciled to the ledger and refreshed automatically, so your teams spend their time on insight rather than spreadsheets.

SCOPE OF WORK

What our work covers.

Choose the full scope or only the workstreams you need. Each one comes with defined deliverables, a named owner on our side and a clear sign-off on yours.

  1. 01.3.1

    KPI framework and metric dictionary

We begin with the decisions your leaders make. Each KPI is given a single definition, owner, formula and source, and is signed off by the people accountable for it.

    Deliverables
    • KPI tree linked to strategic objectives
    • Metric dictionary with formulas and owners
    • Target and threshold settings
  2. 01.3.2

    Executive dashboards

Board and leadership views that show performance, trend and exception on a single screen, with drill-down to the transaction for anyone who wants to check.

    Deliverables
    • CEO, CFO and board dashboards
    • Mobile-ready layouts
    • Automated commentary prompts
  3. 01.3.3

    Operational dashboards

Daily views for branch, depot, plant and sales managers: what happened yesterday, what needs attention today and who is responsible for it.

    Deliverables
    • Role-based operational dashboards
    • Exception and alert rules
    • Row-level security by location or team
  4. 01.3.4

    MIS packs and board reporting

Monthly management and board packs generated straight from the governed data, with variance analysis and commentary fields, so finance spends its time on insight instead of formatting.

    Deliverables
    • Automated monthly MIS pack
    • Board-pack template
    • Variance and commentary workflow
  5. 01.3.5

    Self-service enablement

Certified datasets and training so analysts can build their own reports without creating a new version of the truth.

    Deliverables
    • Certified semantic models
    • Report-builder training
    • Governance rules for publishing
  6. 01.3.6

    Embedded analytics and distribution

Analytics inside the ERP and line-of-business systems people already use, plus scheduled, secured distribution to inboxes and phones.

    Deliverables
    • Embedded report views
    • Scheduled distribution lists
    • Usage and adoption tracking

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

Which BI tool should we use?

Usually the one that fits your existing licences and skills. Most clients are on Power BI; we also build in Tableau, Qlik and our own TDC MIS. The KPI design matters far more than the tool.

Our dashboards disagree with finance. Can you fix that?

That is the most common reason clients call us. We trace each figure back to its source, agree one definition and reconcile it to the ledger, then retire the reports that disagree.

Can managers build their own reports?

Yes, on certified datasets. Self-service works when everyone draws on the same governed model, so we build that first and train your analysts to use it.
